LinkedIn’s mobile audience grew 134% in Western Europe in a year

Twitter doubled its mobile audience in a year in Western Europe (Germany, Spain, France, Italy, United Kingdom). 8.6 million mobile users accessed Twitter in september 2011, which represents a 115% increase since last year. Linkedin had the fastest growing mobile audience in Western Europe amongst the top social networks. 2.2 million mobile users accessed LinkedIn in september 2011, which represents a 134% increase since last year.

Facebook’s mobile audience grew 54% in Western Europe in a year

Facebook continues to lead social media use on mobile. Even though Facebook’s mobile audience grew only by 54% since last year in Western Europe, 39 million people accessed the social network in september 2011. Facebook has the largest audience of any social network. 71% of the social networking audience in Western Europe accessed Facebook via a mobile device in september. Overall, nearly 17% of mobile users in Western Europe accessed Facebook in september 2011.
