The Twitter button is displayed on 3% of the top 10.000 websites

Google +1 is spreading quickly on the internet. 11.52% of the top 10.000 websites in the world display Google +1 buttons against 8.07% in august 2011, which represents a 42% growth in just three months. Facebook is still the leading social network. For comparison purposes, Facebook Like is displayed on 15.66% of the top 10.000 websites, against 11.61% in august 2011, which represents a 35% growth in three months.

The Digg button is displayed on 1% of the top 10.000 websites

Twitter lags far behind. While the Google +1 button has been quickly adopted by many websites from the top 10.000, the Twitter button faces more difficulties. 3.24% of the top 10.000 websites display a “Tweet” button against 2.54% in august 2011, which represents a 27% growth. Digg continues to decline. 1.09% only of the top 10.000 websites display a Digg button against 1.17% in august, which represents a decrease of 7%.
