45% of IT managers unaware of all devices used by staff for business purposes
The dividing line between personal and business use of nomadic devices is blurring. 45% of IT managers report being unaware of all the personal devices used by their staff for business purposes. Many companies allow their employees to use their own mobile devices for work. 25% of firms support the use of personal mobile phones for business purposes. 36% of employees use both personal and business devices.
62% of firms have no policy for the use of personal mobile devices at work
If technology enables mobile work, security remains an issue. For 57% of senior executives, security remains the number 1 barrier to the adoption of remote work. Companies still lack policies to manage mobile devices. 62% of firms report having no process nor policy to account for the way mobile devices are being used with company data and services. The remaining 38% have processes and policies in place to reduce data leakage risks.
